Feeling stuck or in a rut
Waiting to feel motivated before trying something new usually means waiting a long time, because motivation tends to follow action rather than the other way round - you generally feel more like doing something once you've started it, not before.
A more realistic approach is to lower the size of the first step until it's almost impossible not to do. Not "learn Spanish," but "look up one class near me." Not "start hiking," but "put on shoes and walk for ten minutes." The goal of the first step is momentum, not the whole achievement.
It also helps to build in a way to notice and mark progress, however small. A single completed "I did it," seen and acknowledged, does more for motivation than a vague sense that you should be doing more - small wins compound in a way that guilt about not starting never does.
This is exactly what 365ALIVE's daily suggestion and "I did it" moments are for - one small, doable action at a time, with the completed ones kept visible in My Museum so motivation has something real to build on instead of starting from zero every day.
